Didactic model to assess solving problem competence in higher education

This article aims at arguing a conception of the evaluation process of problem solving competence as a key competence in the training of graduates of higher education; for that reason, the authors provides general a general framework and finally contextualizes this problematic situation to the field of problem solving competence. This competence has been widely studied, it has been regarded as ability or skill, among other conceptualizations in the scientific literature, however, little attention has been paid to its evaluation process, which deserves attention as a strategy to elucidate a similar treatment of others in the curriculum. For that reason, it is provided a theoretical model to contribute to this purpose.
