Associating permanent education in community programs to local development
Keywords:
permanent education, community education, local developmentAbstract
Objective: This article aims at describing a model of permanent education for integrated community work articulated with local development.
Methods: The authors rely on theoretical methods for devising a framework of reference and modeling for describing how to relate permanent education to local development. Likewise, the action/research approach is now followed in the process of permanent education of the social actors involved in District 39 of La Vallita in the Florida Municipality of Camagüey Province
Results: The main finding is a theoretical model, developed by using the functional structural method. The proposal is structured into three subsystems. The components of each of the subsystems and their relationships are determined, in order to establish the relevance of the proposed model to achieve the education of social actors for community development, as well as a mobilizing role for local development.
Conclusions: The model contributes to the foundations of the educational character that governs integrated community work, emphasizing the role of exogenous, endogenous, and decision-makers’ social actors, as well as determining the dynamics that argue the type of help required and the links to the local development. The described model has a methodological and regulatory character for permanent education for integrated community work articulated to local development.
