For authors

1. What is the thematic scope of the journal?

Transformación publishes original contributions in the field of pedagogical sciences and their numerous points of contact with other social sciences. It covers pedagogical theories and models, specific didactics, teacher training, educational evaluation, educational technologies, educational policies, school management, educational psychology, sociology of education, history of education, comparative education, inclusive education, educational guidance, curriculum, and all fields that contribute to the advancement of educational knowledge.

2. In which languages can I submit my manuscript?

Manuscripts may be submitted in Spanish or English. All published articles must include Spanish and English versions of the title, abstract, and keywords.

3. What types of contributions does the journal accept?

The journal accepts three document types: Original scientific report (max. 15 pages), Recapitulative study (max. 15 pages), and Brief communication (max. 8 pages). All are subject to double-blind peer review.

4. Where can I download the official templates?

Templates are available in the "Publication guidelines" section.

5. Does the journal charge for submitting or publishing articles?

No. Transformación is a diamond open access journal. There are no Article Processing Charges (APCs). Publication is completely free for authors and readers.

6. How should I prepare my manuscript for double-blind review?

The manuscript must not contain names, affiliations, or information that identifies the authors. The editor will anonymize the file before sending it to reviewers.

7. What documents must I submit with my manuscript?

Along with the main file (manuscript in Word), the Letter of originality and publication license must be uploaded.

8. How long does the review process take?

The deadline for reviewer reports is 30 business days. Initial editorial review takes 15 business days. The average time between final acceptance and publication is up to six months.

9. What should I do if my manuscript is rejected?

Authors have ten business days to submit a reasoned reply to the Editorial Board against a rejection decision.

10. Can I archive my article in an institutional repository?

Yes. Authors may archive the published version in institutional repositories, thematic repositories, or on their personal pages, without embargo restrictions, provided the original publication in Transformación is cited.

For reviewers

11. How am I selected to review a manuscript?

Reviewers are selected based on their accredited expertise in the topic, scientific production, institutional affiliation (prioritizing geographic diversity), and availability.

12. What are the evaluation criteria?

Reviewers evaluate: originality and novelty of the contribution, methodological rigor, relevance and currency of the theoretical and bibliographic foundation, clarity and quality of exposition, significance of results and conclusions, and adherence to editorial standards.

13. How much time do I have to submit my report?

The deadline for issuing the report is 30 business days.

14. What should I do if I have a conflict of interest?

You must declare it before accepting the invitation. In case of conflict, you must decline the invitation.

15. How can I access the articles?

Full texts are available for public consultation immediately after publication, without subscription, registration, or payment barriers, through the journal's website.

16. Can I share the articles?

Yes. Articles are disseminated under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license, which allows sharing and adapting the material for non-commercial purposes, citing the original source.

17. How should I cite an article from the journal?

You must follow APA 7th edition style. Complete information for each article (author, year, title, volume, issue, pages, DOI) is available on the article page in the OJS platform.
